ILA's new services

Independent Living Alliance continues to expand to meet the high level of demand for our person-centred services.  Latest and forthcoming developments include:

Liverpool:
- 4 self-contained flats in the Walton area. Opened December 2009
- 4 self-contained flats in Walton Village. Opening in mid-February

Manchester:
- 4 self-contained flats in New Moston.  Opening late February.
 The above services offer 24-hour staffing, including sleep-in cover, and provide move-on options for existing service users living in shared supported housing as well as a for people new to ILA.

Warrington:
- House for 5 women with complex support needs.  Opened December 2009. 
This service provides 24-hour cover through a core staffing model, with additional one-to-one support to meet the needs identified in each person's support plan.  The service offers greater independence to women moving from high dependency services.

 
Work Experience Programme Latest
ILA's Work Experience Programme
 
Work experience programme launched

Independent Living Alliance has started a volunteering work experience programme for our service users.  Lisa Baker, ILA's newly appointed Service User Development Worker, is leading the programme and will be identifying voluntary and paid opportunities with ILA and other employers.
